The 3rd Class Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and maintenance of facility systems such as heating, cooling, refrigeration, steam, water, and electrical equipment. The role includes interpreting system readings, performing repairs, maintaining logs, ensuring equipment is in good working condition, and occasionally leading other workers. The position requires a DC 3rd Class Engineer License or higher and the ability to work nights and weekends.
Active DC 3 Engineers License or higher required. High School Diploma or Equivalent education. 1 year of job-related experience. Other technical or trade certifications in related field are highly desired.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions. Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of computer software programs to include Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook desired.
