Ensures HSU operates within the guidelines of Federal and State regulatory standards by providing high-level administrative, programmatic, and project management support. Applies knowledge of VADOC program, policies and procedures, and professional judgement to perform a variety of administrative responsibilities. Coordinates with HSU Executive staff to fulfill requests and inquiries from various sources.
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to compose correspondence using good grammar skills. Working knowledge of HIPAA and other State and Federal confidentiality regulations. Ability to deal effectively with public officials and executives of public and private agencies. Ability to function in a fast-paced and high-stress environment with frequent interruptions. Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines. Ability to analyze problems and offer recommendations. Effective written and oral communication skills. Ability to compose and edit documents, reports, proposals, presentations, and policies. Ability to utilize office technology and software.
Experience in a correctional setting. Experience in a healthcare organization setting. Experience with record management database, Adobe Pro, and National Practitioner's Data Bank.
