The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as the Program Support Technician in the Program Operations Division. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Provide Operational and Administrative Support to the Member Services Unit by assisting with duties associated with monitoring and managing the provider appeals process. This position would support the appeals unit by drafting appeals summaries and conducting research to resolve provider appeal requests. This position would also conduct outreach as needed to provider groups to provide education on the claims and billing process. The business needs for this position have in office requirements to include but are not limited to in-person meetings and trainings. The position you are applying for is an Hourly/Wage position. Hourly (wage) employees may not work more than an average of 29 hours a week and cannot exceed 1500 hours during their employment year. This position does not include health insurance, retirement or leave. Minimum Qualifications
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications: Experience with drafting appeals summaries and entering them info the appeals system. Experience utilizing a automated system that allows uploading and tracking provider appeals summaries. Experience of office practices and procedures. Experience with providing preparing and providing statistical reports and excel spreadsheets. Experience utilizing computer software, including database administration. Knowledge/Experience interpretation and application of federal, state laws/regulations. Experience in meeting deadlines. Experience with internal/external stakeholders.
