This position is responsible for accurately reviewing and verifying physicians' orders in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and contacting the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) to resolve any issues identified during verification prior to dispensing. Duties include checking for potential drug-drug and drug-disease interactions, accurately filling and checking medications, ensuring all medications are appropriately labeled, and maintaining the perpetual inventory of all controlled substances. The role also involves verifying proper labeling of medications packaged from bulk to unit dose, understanding the operation and restocking procedures of Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADC), interpreting laboratory data for monitoring purposes, and demonstrating proficiency in pharmacy calculations. The incumbent will provide drug information to clinical staff, prepare and deliver clinical consult reports, and participate in rotating on-call duties when the pharmacy is closed.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Valid Virginia Driver's License. - Registered Pharmacist in Virginia good standing. - Computer literacy is essential.
