Job Duties:

The Executive Operations Coordinator provides comprehensive, high-level administrative support and project coordination to the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles Commissioner to ensure efficient operations, effective time management, and strategic communication with internal and external stakeholders. Serves as the primary liaison between the Commissioner and staff, the public, and other government officials while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professionalism. Independently manages complex administrative processes, coordinates special projects, and facilitates decision-making through research, analysis, and strategic support.

You're a natural if you have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience managing administrative tasks, complex calendars and scheduling for senior executives
  • Proven experience coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Experience drafting professional correspondence and preparing reports for executive review
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with ability to create presentations and analyze data
  • Experience handling confidential information and sensitive communications
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
  • Experience conducting research and preparing summaries or briefing materials
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
