Job Duties
Under the authority of the Health Authority, the position is responsible for cleaning all areas of the medical unit and medical inmate cells. Performs routine cleaning practices according to procedure outlined in the infection control and environmental policies. Supports the daily operation of the medical unit by performing routine tasks as needed and assigned under supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions. Ability to work with others in a team environment. Ability to successfully carry out instructions with limited supervision. Knowledge of environmental services. Attention to detail. Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations. Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner. Working irregular hours including call hours during emergent situations.
Additional Considerations
Experience operating cleaning equipment such as floor cleaners. Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients, physicians, or others in a professional manner. Position requires light to moderate work with 50 pounds maximum weight to lift and carry. Position requires reaching, bending, stooping, and handling objects with hands and/or fingers, talking and/or hearing, and seeing.
