HR Business Partner (Dutch)

We are excited to launch our British company, Vintage Cash Cow, in Europe, and we are currently setting up our European sister company, Arcavindi, from a fantastic location just outside Arnhem. This warehouse processes orders for the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain, and France. To support this growth, we are expanding our People Team.

As part of our broader Group People Team, we believe that people drive growth. Our mission is to create the environment, strategy, and tools that enable our teams to thrive – from unlocking leadership potential to shaping a culture that reflects who we are and where we are headed.

You will join a collaborative and growing People Team that lays strong foundations and makes a meaningful impact across Europe.

About the Role

It is an exciting time to join Arcavindi as we continue to expand across Europe. As an HR Business Partner, you will be the strategic and hands-on HR leader for our Dutch organization. You will support a growing team of approximately 60 employees, which will expand to 120 and beyond.

You will report to our Head of HR Business Partnering (based in the UK) and play a key role in shaping and executing our local people strategy. From designing team structures and driving engagement to supporting leaders and embedding performance and development practices – you will ensure that we are equipped to attract, grow, and retain great people.

This is a broad, dynamic role in a fast-growing company – ideal for someone who works both strategically and operationally, with the confidence to build from the ground up and the curiosity to continuously improve the way we work.

Since this is a new role, we are looking for someone who is comfortable with a certain degree of ambiguity and enjoys getting their hands dirty to shape our ambitious journey.

Getting Started

  • Build strong relationships with local leaders and teams
  • Understand our activities, goals, and team dynamics
  • Familiarize yourself with our systems, policies, and data-driven insights

Making an Impact

  • Develop customized staffing plans that align with business objectives
  • Facilitate conversations around performance, engagement, and development
  • Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the workforce

Driving Excellence

  • Anticipate and resolve staffing challenges proactively
  • Lead and support change initiatives that help us scale effectively

Continuously improve our way of working within Arcavindi and the broader Group People Team.

Key Goals and Objectives

Deliver proactive, strategic HR support to our Dutch organization

Collaborate with leaders to drive engagement, performance, and growth

Align local initiatives with both Dutch regulations and group standards

Build a scalable HR framework that supports growth from 60 to 120+ employees

Create a culture of feedback, inclusion, and continuous improvement

Work with leaders and our L&D team to identify and develop top talent, ensuring the right people are in the right places

What You Will Do

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders: shaping team structures, guiding changes, and planning future talent needs
  • Drive performance and development cycles, with clear goals, feedback, and growth opportunities
  • Collaborate with Group Talent Acquisition and L&D to align recruitment, onboarding, and development with business needs
  • Work autonomously: while supported by the UK team, you will often be the most senior HR professional on-site
  • Manage employment relations, including engagement with the works council
  • Use HR data and insights to inform decisions and report trends
  • Support policy rollouts that contribute to an exceptional employee experience
  • Work on engagement, culture, and well-being initiatives
  • Contribute to broader projects within the Group People Team and international collaboration

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in an HR Business Partner or People Partner role, preferably in a fast-growing or international organization
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch employment law and HR best practices
  • Commercial acumen: able to link people initiatives to business results
  • Experienced in coaching and supporting leaders at all levels
  • Experience with works councils is a plus, but not required
  • Excellent communication skills, with credibility and empathy
  • Organized, proactive problem-solver with strong project management skills
  • Confident in using HR data and statistics to influence decisions
  • Fluent in both Dutch and English (written and spoken)

Equal Opportunities

At Vintage Cash Cow & Arcavindi, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard, valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic self to work. We believe that diversity drives innovation, creativity, and success.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and we strive to create equitable opportunities for all. Together, we're building a culture that celebrates individuality and champions equity at every level of our organization.

If you're excited about this role, but don't tick every box, we still encourage you to apply. Your unique skills and experiences might be just what we're looking for now or in the future.

If you need adjustments or accommodations during the hiring process, please reach out to us and we will do our best to support you.
