Are you a skilled Sterile Processing Technician seeking a vital role in a dynamic, high-volume trauma facility? We are looking for dedicated professionals to ensure the safety and efficiency of surgical procedures at a Level One trauma hospital. If you have a passion for sterilization, decontamination, and surgical support, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact. In this critical role, you will perform decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments across multiple service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel packaging. You will serve as a key link between the operating room and sterile processing, ensuring all instruments meet strict safety standards. Occasional holiday work and the flexibility to float to other locations will be required to support our busy environment.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 3+ years of sterile processing experience in a busy surgical setting
• Proficiency with decontamination, assembly, and sterilization processes (sterrad and steam)
• Experience with HLD/scopes and Censitrac tracking system
• Knowledge of OR liaison operations
• Certification through CBSPD or CRCST (through HSPA, formerly IAHCSMM)
• Familiarity with sterile storage and hospital-specific protocols

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with DaVinci and other robotic surgical equipment
• Additional certifications in decontamination or sterilization
• Experience with complex surgical instrument management

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Certification from CBSPD or CRCST (HSPA)
• At least 3 years of sterile processing experience in a Level I trauma center or similarly busy healthcare environment

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work night shifts (11:00pm-7:30am) Monday through Friday, with occasional holidays
• Willingness to float to different hospital locations as needed
• Valid certifications and licensure as required
• Strong organizational and communication skills
