What You'll Own

  • Collaborate with fellow project engineers, designers, and internal stakeholders to define detailed project scopes and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain facility layouts, engineering drawings, and key project documentation.
  • Lead vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring timelines, costs, and quality standards are met.
  • Develop project justification studies using live manufacturing data to guide investment decisions.
  • Own project budgets and schedules, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned initiatives.
  • Spearhead the implementation of new technologies and production systems into existing manufacturing environments.
  • Design equipment and facility upgrades with an eye toward efficiency, maintainability, and reliability.
  • Apply Lean engineering principles to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve production readiness.
  • Lead technical support during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new machinery.
  • Assist in creating standard work procedures, process documentation, and training support for facility teams.
  • Support cross-departmental needs (e.g., sales, product engineering) by providing technical guidance and project input.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards, participating in relevant trainings and safety meetings.

What You Bring to the Table

  • B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
  • 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or facilities role
  • Expertise with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar 2D/3D modeling tools
  • Proven success in project planning, process improvement, and technical troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of equipment, automation, construction practices, and fabrication processes (welding, CNC, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and data-driven project evaluation (QlikSense experience a plus)
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows-based tools
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 20%) as projects require
