Facility Engineer Position

The position and your future tasks:
- Participate in the planning and monitoring of the periodic operational and investment budget; prepare reports on the budget development.
- Define the short and long-term goals of the functions under your supervision, manage resources and control costs.
- Direct the work of the facility maintenance team, be responsible for the supervision, training, and continuous development of the members.
- Be responsible for the preventive and corrective maintenance of the infrastructure related to the operational facility.
- Supervise the work of contractual partners, comply with company regulations during the service or activity period. Continuously seek cost-effective solutions in operations and partner selection.
- Ensure the operation of the building management system (BMS) installed in the facility, and the operation and calibration of the environmental monitoring system (EMS).
- Be responsible for developing, maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures, work instructions, and preventive maintenance programs for the operated systems.
- Participate in technical developments and investments; direct technological, efficiency, and other development projects.
- Plan and manage the calibration of monitoring and measuring instruments; manage monitoring and measuring instruments.
- Responsible for compliance with pest control procedures.
- Plan and supervise qualification and validation processes.
- Comply with regulations and standards for the operation of the function.
- Collaborate with organizational units involved in the use of the facility.
- Comply with and enforce GMP, safety, fire, and work protection regulations, environmental instructions, and transport regulations; participate in related training.
- Responsible for documenting work performed according to specifications.
- Inform your supervisor or the department in case of irregularities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
About your skills and experience:
- Higher education in engineering (mechanical engineering). At least five years of work experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or food industry. Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, DEA, and GMP.
- General engineering (technological, building mechanical) and qualification and validation knowledge. Project management experience. Knowledge of standard operating procedures and GMP principles. Knowledge of work protection and safety regulations. Computer user skills (MS Office, Lotus Notes applications). Analytical skills, compliance, planning, problem-solving, decision-making, and task tracking ability. Precision, accuracy. Teaching skills. Appropriate leadership and communication skills.
- The position holder works mostly independently under general supervision. Reports to the senior director of engineering and maintenance. The position holder directly manages facility maintenance technicians. Performs leadership duties according to organizational policies and applicable laws. The leadership authority includes selecting, training, further educating, planning, and organizing work, and accounting for tasks.
- Higher education in technical school. At least five years of work experience, preferably at a pharmaceutical manufacturing company.
- C1 level English language skills, as well as effective Hungarian language skills in writing and speaking. Ability to read and interpret complex professional documents. Ability to interpret professional results, and prepare technical correspondence and reports. Ability to give presentations to senior management or external visitor groups.
- Able to handle practical problems through standard solutions, requiring some uncertainty and analysis. Able to draw conclusions, follow regulations and detailed rules, and solve moderately complex problems.
- Typically sedentary work, occasionally standing or walking.
- General office/packaging plant working conditions.
