Fairbanks Morse is looking for a Senior Production Engineer to join our team. This engineer will reduce cost through NCR review and drawing updates/ ET implementation on repeat NCR's. This will be accomplished through timely review of daily NCRs and interaction with operators for improvement of trouble jobs. This role will also serve as the technical advisor to the procurement team, performing as a subject matter expert on FME parts and drawings. Improve velocity through collaboration with ME and purchasing teams for new and existing product lines and components.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Education/Experience- BS in engineering or Diesel engineer degree 4+ years' experience required. Up to 20% – Travel mostly domestic day trips, some overnight trip as required could include: supplier visits, training, or customer site visits. Requires CAD- SolidWorks preferred. Required- must have experience in a manufacturing setting (as an engineer or an operator) Preferred- 8 step problem solving or another problem-solving training. Preferred- hands on experience building engines, or other mechanical systems Preferred someone who has built and run large medium speed diesel engines before position requires access or potential access to Unclassified Naval Nuclear Propulsion Information, which is Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals (NOFORN) data. Therefore, to meet NOFORN requirement, you will have to provide proof of US Citizenship and attest that you do not have dual citizenship. Acceptable proof of US Citizenship is a US Passport, US Birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate. Regulations (EAR). Acceptable proof of this status includes a US Passport, Permanent Resident Card, US birth Certificate or Naturalization Certificate.
