The Operations Engineer (NA Rotational Associate) will work closely with EHS, Quality, FP&R, Finance, and Planning to assess and understand potential project initiatives to improve shop floor quality/reduce non-conformances (NC's), EHS improvement opportunities, material loss initiatives, and schedule enhancements to optimize production efficiencies. The Operations Engineer is responsible for effectively coordinating with key members of the Operations, Engineering, Maintenance and Factory Performance & Reliability (FP&R) teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities designed to improve Asset Utilization (AU), and reduce Unplanned Downtime (UPDT). Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support EHS standard compliance and participate in action plan closure
  • Participate in RCA for Non-Conformances and participate in CAPA closures
  • Participate in FP&R Self-Assessment
  • Attend Small Group Meetings to establish RCA and execute plans to improve throughput and efficiency
  • Coordinate Forward Action Plan (FAP) from Small Group Meetings with Area Leaders to track action to closure
  • Standardization and Documentation: Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices. Regularly review and update documentation to reflect process improvements and changes
  • Participate and Lead Kaizen events, and manage closure items
  • Participate in SMED program, and manage closure of items to improve changeover (CO) process
  • Establish specific projects geared towards improving productivity, reducing material losses, reducing CO times, etc.
  • Partner with FP&R to select CI opportunities based on feasibility and potential business value
  • Ensure Operational/Maintenance teams have training, tools and time to develop and implement priority CI projects
  • Active participation in Standard Daily Meeting
  • Provides coverage for Team Leader, as needed
  • Participate in CI meetings with FP&R Leader and Operations

Required Qualifications: B.A. /B.S. Degree in Engineering, Processing/Packaging Technology, or other related technical field. Proficiency using Google Tools. Ability to work on various shifts and weekends as needed. Preferred Qualifications: Lean Six Sigma experience or certification Six Sigma or equivalent certification Supervisory experience SAP experience Compensation and Benefits Salary Range $67,600.00 - $104,000.00 USD Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles. Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year).
