The Line Crossing Technician performs high-value, high-risk work to maintain the safe operation of company pipelines. This includes routine pipeline maintenance, open-system work, emergency response, and protection of the environment, all while complying with applicable regulations and company procedures.

What You Will Do:
Pipeline Location, ROW & Excavation Oversight
- Conduct emergency one-calls and line locates and oversee third-party excavation and ensure safe onsite activities.
- Maintain pipeline right-of-way, markers, signage, and monitor pipeline crossing installations.
Measurement, Quality & Operational Support
- Provide operational and custody-transfer support.
- Conduct pipeline analysis to identify mismeasurement and calculate adjustments.
- Support sampling and quality control tasks, including monthly grind-outs and product quality testing.
- Understand custody-transfer measurement methods and use of PD meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters, and solids-handling measurement equipment.
Maintenance & Technical Work
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on pipeline and facility assets.
- Complete pipeline maintenance tasks and support repair work, including emergency repairs and stopple work.
- Launch and receive pigging tools, and support valve inspection, operation, and maintenance.
Safety, Compliance & Work Authorization
- Become Operator Qualified for all covered tasks and oversee non-qualified personnel.
- Follow all safety requirements for pipeline operations and maintenance tasks.
- Issue work permits and serve as a company inspector for contractor work.
- Eliminate, contain, and report leaks, seeps, or spills.
Emergency Response
- Respond to emergencies and assist in maintaining emergency equipment.
- Support containment, repair, cleanup activities, and preventive actions for abnormal ROW conditions.
General Duties
- Represent the company with regulators, landowners, public officials, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Lead internal and external pipeline maintenance personnel when required.
