Our client has a brand new opportunity for a Field Service Technician to join their team onsite in Fort Smith, AR and provide unparalleled technical support. This Technician will travel within a radius of up to 125+ miles daily, depending on the area and specific route, and is required to have a valid driver's license.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support IT/Data problem tasks, provide prompt action
• Deliver support and resolution for daily technical requirements
• Track and monitor issues, provide notes and feedback
• Understand AC/DC and backup power concepts
• Manage triage, troubleshooting, and resolution to client scope on IT equipment
• Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily
• Complete all assigned projects and tasks

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1+ years of technical support experience
• A+ CompTIA certification required
• Net+ CompTIA certification is a plus
• Cabling experience
• Familiar with various operating systems (e.g., Windows OS, OSX, Linux/Unix)
• Insight to POS, PC, Printers, Thin Clients, AP's, Servers, Network switch equipment
• Experience desired in copper and fiber cabling and various terminating connectors
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong Communication and professional skills
• Able to lift 25 lbs.
• CAT6 Networking (punchdown and terminations) knowledge
• Must be self-motivated and have the capability to complete projects ahead of schedule
• Excellent time management and reporting skills
• Will occasionally work at heights of 20' to 25', lift equipment training provided

Wage Range:

The rate for this position is between $17.00 - $20.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
