Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

Interface with internal team to obtain a thorough understanding of NOV Service Equipment products and how they are safely operated, tested, calibrated, and problems resolved in a timely manner.

Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair, and train customers on the safe and proper operation of NOV products.

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).

Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability, and yield.

Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance).

Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems.

Prepares technical reports to document equipment modifications and equipment maintenance procedures.

Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on how to properly operate and maintain equipment.

Communicate field failures and feedback reports to the appropriate departments.

Clear, concise, and accurate service reporting upon completion of service.

The technician is self-dispatched. This requires an independent self-starter, self-directed person who possesses the ability to diagnose and determine requirements, plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly events in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer.

Will interact directly with internal as well as external customers on a daily basis, and as such must possess competencies such organizational skills, planning skills, customer orientation, and project management skills.

Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Comply with all NOV company and HSE policies and procedures.
