Job Description

Attention Military Affiliated Job Seekers - Our organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. The following position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. If you have the required skill set, education requirements, and experience, please follow the next steps. The preferred location for this position is Connecticut. Due to specific position requirements, we cannot hire from the following locations for this opportunity: OCONUS, California, Illinois, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Seattle, WA, and Washington DC. Remote Team Members (RTMs) will process routine and complex inquiries to provide high-quality service to internal and external customers. Customer Care Advocates will provide quality service and support while fielding insurance-related questions via inbound phone calls. This opportunity is 100% remote and equipment is provided. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Responsibilities:

  1. Handles inquiries involving group life, disability, and absence including claims, medical underwriting, and continuation of coverage
  2. Handles first notices of loss for group life, disability and absence claims via telephone and non-phone channels of work
  3. Interacts with internal/external business partners, including insureds and claimants
  4. Meets established departmental quality, service, phone metric, and productivity objectives
  5. Prepares documents, communications and other materials using established formats and standard software
  6. Resolves standard and complex inquiries and problem, escalating as needed
  7. Follows procedures to ensure adherence to the company's risk and compliance policies
  8. Provides feedback and recommendations to the team to improve the quality of customer care
  9. Performing other duties as assigned

Training:

5 weeks Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EST Training is 100% mandatory and no time off will be approved. Post-Training: Monday - Friday 4pm - 8pm EST Pay: $18/hour Benefits: Equipment Provided
