As a 360 Careers Intern, you'll participate in structured, skills-based experiences called "expeditions" which support your career interest and expand your business knowledge to become a well-rounded professional. Expeditions may include experiences across the Assurance and Tax service lines within various sectors and account types.
Your key responsibilities:
- Demonstrating basic knowledge of concepts in financial accounting, reporting, disclosure, and internal controls over financial reporting.
- Executing high-profile projects and engagements related to finance optimization, strategic transactions, sustainable finance, or accounting standards change.
- Understanding the client's industry and recognizing key performance drivers, business trends, and emerging technical and industry developments.
- Demonstrating your professionalism while working in clients' environments and providing exceptional service.
- Develop and maintain long-term productive client relationships and networks.
Skills and attributes for success:
- Have or be working toward, an undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline. Accounting strongly preferred.
- Meet the minimal educational requirements for CPA licensure in your work state prior to beginning full-time employment and have a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
- A strong academic record, including, without limitation, coursework that EY deems relevant to this position.
- A passion for activities outside of your studies, especially promoting your ability to collaborate as part of a diverse team.
- An eagerness to learn how our clients operate across different industries.
- Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving skills, and willingness to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership through extra-curricular activities and/or student-led university organizations.
- The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver's license is strongly recommended as rideshare and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
What we offer you:
- The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $36.00-$48.08 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
