Software Engineering Manager - Level 5

Associate Manager

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a full-time Associate Manager to lead a team of Software Engineers in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico supporting multiple Airborne Software platforms. In this role, you will span the technology development life cycle, including requirements generation, system architecture and software design and implementation, and HW/SW integration. The successful candidate will be a member of a high-performing team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate must have demonstrated effective pro-active communication skills as the position will require frequent inter-organizational and outside customer interactions. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical or Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in software design, development, and test.
• Experience leading a team.
• Experience with workforce planning.
• Must be a US citizen.
• This position requires special access and an interim Secret clearance to start.

Desired Skills:

• Candidate with at least 4 years' experience in technical leadership with increasing responsibility and a minimum of 7 years' experience in software design, development, and/or test preferred.
• This position requires an individual with a track record for leading a team to higher levels of performance through evolving tools/methods.
• The selected candidate must be highly motivated with a proven ability to drive execution with exceptional cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Selected candidate must have excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with LM Standard Software (SW) development processes.
• Experience with the Agile Software Development and SCRUM Process.

• Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
