Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Regulatory Reporting Technology Team. This role is required to lead the design and development of the Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting system components supporting various operations and regulatory requirements and requires very strong technical knowledge and a solid foundation of software design and development methodologies. This Senior Software Engineer will have a strong acumen for writing highly functional and performance code in a structured manner. This person will help enhance, build, and deliver application frameworks and specific functionality around Regulatory Technology.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
  • Design, develop and support Regulatory platform capabilities, functions, and processes
  • Assisting all technology partners/developers to use the agreed technology/tools and interfaces to ensure smooth integration, security & ensure platform availability & reliability across DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production
  • Work closely with the business analysts to review requirements to ensure appropriate level of detail is provided to the tech team
  • Establish and document best practices around design, development, and deployment
  • Create relevant SDLC documentation/deliverables as part of standard project implementations (architecture & design documents, deployment diagrams, source code, scripts, any necessary documentation, etc.)
  • Work with cross functional teams (Application Development, Business Users, IT security, Middleware/Platform, Datapower, MQ, and Coherence) to evaluate solution & implement high visibility business & technology initiatives
  • Evaluate solutions, review system architecture, design, and toolsets to achieve project objectives including usability, performance, reliability, monitoring, control, and security requirements
  • Proactively collaborate with the managers to identify key solutions for regulatory obligations, risks, risk mitigations and review technical deliverables during the entire project life cycle

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of Core Java experience
  • 3+ years of Spring experience
  • 2+ years of cloud experience with Azure or AWS or GCP
  • 2+ years of experience with Kafka, Kubernetes, Redis, NoSQL DB

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with ETL tools
  • 2+ years of UNIX/LINUX experience
  • 1+ years of relational database experience with SQL
  • Knowledge and understanding of application design and development in a client server architecture
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Regulatory reporting experience with CFTC & CAD

Job Expectations:

  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule - ability to work in office
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position

Iselin, NJ Pay Range: $120,000 - $158,000 - $196,000

Pay Range Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
