Responsible for deployment and continued support of mission-critical network infrastructure systems in the areas of Route/Switch, Security concepts, and Wireless technologies. This position utilizes technologies such as Cisco IOS, Cisco Prime, Cisco Catalyst, Cisco ISE, Firewalls, NetBrain, SolarWinds, and Wireless Flex Connect. Additionally, this role requires demonstrated competence in LAN/WAN technologies, EIGRP, OSPF, Spanning Tree, and SDN (Software Defined Networking). In addition, this position coordinates cross-functional teams for the deployment and support of physical/virtual network infrastructure. Additionally, this role manages Enterprise Network projects, including building new sites or converting/rebuilding acquired sites. This position ensures the effective operation and support of network systems to meet organizational needs.
Other duties as assigned. Seeks personal development opportunities through certifications, training, or conferences relevant to the role. Supports the Enterprise Network Analyst Team in coordinating and deploying network-related projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. Participates in business planning meetings to recommend cost-effective network solutions that meet capacity, scalability, and performance requirements. Manages the monitoring, optimization, and diagnosis of network systems, providing documentation on root cause analysis and resolution options. Assists in developing project plans for system refreshes and upgrades, maintaining records of hardware inventory and software licensing. Performs network administration tasks, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure and devices. Collaborates with security teams to plan, design, implement, and support organizational security initiatives. Adheres to change management policies, documenting work and representing complex changes in weekly meetings. Documents administrative items, projects, and support issues for reference by team members and management. Completes incidents and requests in accordance with organizational SLT and SLA requirements. Shares technical and non-technical knowledge with team members to improve skills and team cohesiveness. Provides network support for the deployment of infrastructure, investigating connectivity, security, and configuration issues. Submits status reports to the team manager and provides verbal updates during team meetings.
Proven skill in Project management of Network related projects. Proven skills in both verbal and written communication. Ability to understand and implement LAN/WAN networks including topics such as OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, subnetting, DHCP pools, and Ethernet. Proven skills with Cisco platforms such as Cisco Catalyst Switches, Cisco ASR and ISR Routers Experience with Cisco Wireless WLC, Access Points, Cisco Prime and Wireless Flex Connect Proven skills in discussing and planning application architecture with cross-functional application, business, technical teams and third-party vendors. Bachelors in computer science, Information Systems or Information Technology 5 in the support of an enterprise network platform in a 24x7 environment, including platforms such as route switch, wireless and security. 7 experience in supporting network infrastructure platforms such as cisco switches, asr and isr routers, vpn and wireless flex connect. An equivalent combination of education ad relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of the stated degree requirement: - Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience OR - Associates degree and 9 years of experience OR - High School Grad or Equivalent and 11 years of experience.
