Senior Mechanical Engineer

CV Designers Inc. d/b/a CV Engineering seeks an onsite Senior Mechanical Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA responsible for providing engineering design and details as well as working with Project Managers and other team members to complete mechanical design and engineering for commercial and industrial projects. Specific duties include overseeing the design of complex HVAC, piping, and other mechanical systems for large-scale industrial plants, ensuring optimization for performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness; performing detailed engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions; and creating and reviewing technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports, as well as overseeing the implementation of quality assurance practices to meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Must have a master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field plus three (3) years of experience in mechanical design engineering. Must have three (3) years of experience with piping systems (water, sanitary, hydraulics, lubrication, gases, and steam) and HVAC; and AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Plant 3D. Must have one (1) year of experience with project management, including coordination with clients, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams. Must know Bluebeam; Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project; and mechanical codes, including ASHRAE standards and NFPA. Experience can be concurrent.
