Wafer Fab Operations Technician

The Microcircuit Emulation Center at SRI International (formerly Sarnoff Corporation) is looking for a Wafer Fab Operations Technician to support the manufacturing of microcircuits on-site in Princeton, NJ. This position is for anyone who is looking to develop a career in semiconductor manufacturing with opportunities to develop knowledge and skills through internal mentoring and appropriate training opportunities.

Through SRI's Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program, the Microcircuit Emulation Center supplies form, fit, function, and interface replacements for obsolete microcircuits. This capability supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements for the life of a weapon system for the U.S. Military. SRI's Microcircuit Emulation Center is a government-supported U.S.-based manufacturing facility for over 35 years in Princeton, NJ.

Responsibilities

- Operate equipment and execute computer operating software in support of daily work tasks, data and information collection, storage, analysis, and interpretation.

- Work for significant time periods in controlled environmental areas: e.g., electrical test labs, environmental test labs, cleanrooms, and support areas wearing appropriate protective equipment following training.

- Document on-going and completed work, e.g., daily Passdown e-mail, and presentation of data and information.

- Prioritize tasks and manage time with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

- At least 3+ years Wafer Fab operations experience for level 2 and 6+ years' experience for level 3.

- Desired experience in Photolithography area including operation of TEL Clean Tracks and ASML steppers.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and computer systems is required.

- Must be able to work first shift 6:00am-2:30pm M-F. On occasions maybe required to work second shift.

- Prior work experience in manufacturing or semiconductors is required.

- Due to Government requirements, US Citizen or Permanent Resident status is required.

- Must be able to work in a clean room and/or lab environment for a significant part of the workday and perform flexible shift work as required.

The salary range is: Level 2 $20.76-$30.89; Level 3 $26.49-$39.41. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program. SRI also has a competitive benefits package.
