Sales Applications Engineer, Quote Estimation Support

Actalent Contract Position

This position is primarily responsible for supporting the Applications Management team in generating quotes and proposals through collaboration with R&D, Procurement, and other commercial team members. Responsibilities include:

• Support the creation of quotes and proposals by collaborating with the Commercial team, including Applications managers, customer service, and account managers, as well as R&D.
• Manage the workflow of quotes using the Sales Force software package.
• Work closely with procurement to clarify component sourcing, which may involve direct contact with potential suppliers.
• Perform other duties as required.

Essential skills include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in engineering, sales, or a combination thereof.
• Demonstrated success in a previous product or business generation role indicating high performance.
• Ability to work independently.
• Highly accountable for personal performance to achieve sales goals.
• Fluent in English communication, both written and oral.
• Proficient in computer usage.

Additional skills and qualifications:

• MBA is helpful.
• Experience working in a regulated environment is a plus, but not essential.

Work environment is business casual. Onsite work is preferred, but there is some flexibility available.

Job type and location: This is a contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN.

Pay and benefits: The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
