Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a GPS Navigation Systems Engineer to join our diverse and talented team in the design, implementation, and integration of real-time GPS Receivers. This role will be filled at our Woodland Hills, CA site.

For a Principal GPS Navigation Systems Engineer:
Experience writing papers on GPS Receiver design solutions and presenting at industry conferences or events
Familiarity with military GPS modernization particularly M-code signal processing and capabilities
Familiarity with Timing and Distributed Clock Algorithms
Exposure to requirements specification and interface control documents (ICD) for GPS-153/RS-232, etc.
Demonstrated experience with GPS satellite constellation simulator test equipment
Demonstrated experience with inertial navigation systems (INS) mechanizations
Demonstrated experience in architecting, developing, and integrating real time embedded software for GPS Receivers, including on target Hardware
Demonstrated experience developing software using Green Hills Integrity Real-time Operating Systems, board support package (BSP), Green Hills Multi IDE and/or Wind River VxWorks RTOS/BSP for C/C++ or equivalent development tools
Familiarity with Agile lifecycle process including Scrum, Continuous Integration, Unit Test, and Test Driven Methodologies
This position is contingent upon the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance within a timeframe acceptable to management as well as program funding.
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $110,300.00 - $165,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
