Project Engineer

We are currently looking for a Project Engineer to assist and support our project managers in daily construction operations of our company. This position will be based out of our main office in Gresham, Oregon. This position works M-F from 8-5. The successful candidate for this position will be able to complete the essential responsibilities of:

• Work on multiple different projects at the same time
• Assist with project start-up processes
• Process and track submittals and RFIs; process and track change orders and take-offs
• Responsible for all daily labor tracking; verify timecards are accurate per the job weekly
• Maintain and update various logs that need to be updated daily
• Create and maintain project schedules
• Production and quantity tracking
• Attend project, foreman and Project Management meetings
• Maintain electronic and hard copy files for each job
• Review daily job reports
• Create work plans, safety documents and job hazard analysis
• Fill in for the Project Manager when needed
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers as needed
• Assist with tracking of safety requirements per job and making sure they are met
• Assist with project closeout, punch lists and final documentation
• Assist other departments as needed

Qualifications:

• 2 years of construction knowledge and experience
• Construction software experience (HCSS, Procore, Sage, Bluebeam)
• Be able to read blueprints
• Basic accounting knowledge and experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines; excellent multi-tasking skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with little supervision and the ability to take initiative
• Strong attention to detail
