Exciting opportunity with Caterpillar's Industrial Power Systems Division (IPSD) as a Production Support Specialist supporting our Quality Department based in Seguin, Texas. In this role, your focus will be on elevating product quality, velocity, and cost-effectiveness through skilled data analysis, effective problem-solving, and meticulous work validation. As a key member of the team, you'll report to Quality Managers and collaborate across different departments to meet the demands of both customers and the company.

What you will do:

• Inspect engine and engine components utilizing quality check sheets to ensure there are no quality defects.
• Verify correct alignment of engine components using engine schematics and part prints.
• Perform audits and carry out quality inspections to correct known defects.
• Ensure that materials received and delivered are free from quality defects.
• Submit and assist with the resolution of CPS Continuous Improvement cards.
• Assist other departments with problem solving or improvement ideas related to assembly.
• Follow standard operating procedures and area specific work instructions.
• Report daily information to supervisors and managers about engines in your span of control.
• Coordinate with support teams and value stream leadership prioritizing engine movement.
• Provide information to supervisors and managers about processes within assigned area.
• All other duties as assigned.

What you will have:

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a manufacturing and or quality inspection work environment or relevant college course work.
• Attention to detail.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use assembly tools.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Intermediate experience with computers, tablets, and with Microsoft Office Applications.
• Previous experience with Standard Operating Procedures or Standard Work.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adhere to safety procedures.

• Intermediate knowledge of Plex.
• Completion of CAV/Manufacturing best practice training.
• Shop floor manufacturing execution system (MES) knowledge.
• Proficiency in Built-in-Quality (BIQ) Processes.
• Value stream flexibility.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to perform repetitive operations.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Additional Information:

• 1st Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm. Overtime as required.

Summary Pay Range: $19.05 - $24.20 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
