Product Support Engineer

As a Product Support Engineer, you will provide essential technical support and training to customers for prime product installations. You will assist sales and marketing departments by identifying territory service needs and sales leads. This role requires travel across various territories to engage with clients and promote prime product parts, services, and related products. You will act as a liaison between functional departments and customers, ensuring smooth service repairs, modifications, and warranty issue resolutions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support and training for product installations.
• Assist in developing and maintaining technical publication libraries.
• Travel throughout territories to call on and sell prime product parts and services.
• Execute sales plans, including cold calling and site visits.
• Act as a liaison between functional departments and customers.
• Quote prices, prepare sales contracts, and coordinate with the accounting department.
• Prepare business transaction reports, trip reports, and monitor expense accounts.

Essential Skills:

• Heavy equipment product support and customer support experience.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting Mobile/Heavy equipment experience, including hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and control systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Strong technical sales, reporting, and sales engineering skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Strong communication skills for speaking effectively before groups.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and commissions.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret various instructions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience working on heavy mobile equipment in the construction and/or mining industry.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• Ability to write and edit routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
• Good public contact and interpersonal skills, maintaining professional conduct.

Work Environment:

The work environment includes frequent outdoor conditions, occasional proximity to moving mechanical parts, and high precarious places. Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Albuquerque, NM.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
