Senior Process Engineer

Our client is a global supplier of commodity and engineering resins seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Chesapeake, VA to support continued growth. They offer cost effective, high quality material options to the plastics industry with the highest level of quality, service, and efficiency. The position is responsible for leading equipment design and installation projects and process troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

• Follow and comply with all safety procedures.
• Lead new equipment design and installation activities.
• Evaluate and implement equipment improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot processing equipment issues.
• Support activities such as trials for new product development.
• Support the operator training program by training and providing guidance to operators.
• Write operating procedures.
• Lead the preventive maintenance program for equipment and facilities.
• Lead teams for improvements to site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security.
• Manage site permits.
• Document activities in reports.
• Use advanced statistics.

Qualifications:

• Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Degree.
• 5+ years of production experience, preferably in an ISO or cGMP regulated facility.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Punctual, good judgment, diplomacy, and organizational skills.
• Strong knowledge of safe operating procedures.
• Ability to assess a process and write procedures for the process.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
• The successful applicant must be self-motivated, punctual, with manufacturing experience and multitasking skills.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
