Responsibilities include working in a customer service capacity providing administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting, greeting patients and visitors, checking patients in and out, verifying and entering demographic information, obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations, completing medical record release requests, scheduling and confirming patient appointments, entering, reviewing, and submitting charges for patient procedures and services daily, collecting co-payments, and providing general office and clerical support.
Requirements include a high school diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience. Professional licensure or certification may be used in lieu of education or experience.
