Manufacturing Engineering Drafter

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Drafter to provide engineering support for precision air conditioning product lines. This role involves researching and developing drawings utilizing SolidWorks models and assisting manufacturing and design engineering teams with the implementation of new CNC equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze data from SolidWorks models.
  • Create insulation drawings in AutoCAD and convert to DXF files.
  • Provide engineering design support for custom equipment.
  • Assist with programming DXF files into the CNC nesting program.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks, Drafting, AutoCAD, 2D drawing, and 3D CAD.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience with drafting, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and troubleshoot complex problems while generating potential solutions.
  • Capability to evaluate each solution and determine the best course of action based on standard practice, time, and safety concerns.
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Engineering and SAP.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment

The drafter will be part of a team of 7 people. While most work is independent, collaboration with the design engineering team will occasionally be necessary. The standard working hours are from 8 am to 4:30 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Frederick, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
