We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineering Manager 2 to join our Missile Products team in Plymouth, MN. This position reports to the Design Engineering Manager 3 for the Missile Products, Fuze and Warheads business area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• BS degree in Electrical Engineering is required
• Minimum of 8 years of directly related engineering experience, or 6 years with an MS degree
• 2+ years of project, program, or people leadership experience preferred.
• Strong electrical engineering skills and experience in a manufacturing environment
• Design experience in the areas of analog, digital, power conditioning, PWB/CCA design and evaluation, electronics packaging, processors and FPGAs
• Experience with engineering tools used in developing analog and digital electronic systems
• Strong leadership, influence, and project management skills
• Ability to network and negotiate at all levels within an organization to accomplish objectives
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)
• Occasional travel (<10%) to meet with various customers, in both government and industry, and to interface with vendors
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance which requires US Citizenship as a prerequisite.
• Prior project, program, or people leadership experience
• 10+ years working in electrical system, subsystem, and circuit development
• Experience in forming teams and managing employees in the area of circuit development (analog, mixed signal, digital, RF, low power) from schematic to board design
• Experience with coaching, developing talent, and maintaining the accountability of direct reports
• Knowledge of safety & reliability, modeling & simulation, and military requirements
• Knowledge of Model Based Design and/or Model Based Systems Engineering practices
• Strong background in process excellence
• Demonstrated effectiveness in managing internal customer relationships, prioritization, and delegation
• Ability to balance people management needs and technical contributor aspects of this position
• Ability to conduct concise, critical reviews of designs as they are developed
Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
