The IT Business Partner will serve as a technology leader within the Siemens Electrical Products (EP) business unit, driving standardization initiatives and supporting the business' digital transformation journey. This role will strategically align with business objectives to develop, implement, and optimize digital solutions that enhance operational excellence across manufacturing, engineering, and business processes. Through close collaboration with team members, this position will be pivotal in uncovering opportunities for process standardization, technology consolidation, and the adoption of next-generation solutions. The role requires a forward-thinking approach to modernize our technology landscape, with particular focus on manufacturing systems and engineering platforms. Success in this position demands both strategic vision to architect future-state solutions and tactical expertise to maintain critical day-to-day operations across our DFW-area manufacturing facilities.

The position offers the opportunity to drive strategies and provide mentorship to the business by applying agile methodologies and digital innovations. This is a hybrid position based in the Dallas-Fort Worth TX area. You'll make an impact as you:

  • Partner with our business to fully support the three Fort Worth and Grand Prairie factories on all IT related topics.
  • Acquire a good understanding of the application landscape, to assist and support with modernization and standardization across SI IT.
  • Proactively engage with business unit partners on opportunities and challenges facing the business.
  • Plan, drive, and manage IT demands and projects from beginning to end; engage with business unit stakeholders, drive scoping sessions, document requirements/key decisions, navigate a large network of providers, and support the overall execution of these demands.
  • Manage the handling of incidents until they are fully resolved, with a detailed analysis of the underlying causes provided.
  • Facilitate meetings with both internal and external IT provider organizations to ensure quality and timely delivery and support.
  • Provide initial consultation on IT operational issues/opportunities, engage with the appropriate service providers, and ensure follow-up through closure of the issue.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to IT equipment located in the Grand Prairie / Ft. Worth site locations.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule to coordinate support during non-standard hours.
  • Keep BU management and employees informed on IT strategies, key priorities, initiatives, and projects.
  • Communicate to end users on new tools and technologies that have been released from various internal IT service providers.
  • Engage, align, and share best practices with our global SI IT counterparts.
  • Ensure alignment of application portfolio with business priorities & IT strategy.
  • Support the business requests for information whether it is for policy information, usage data, adoption data or project requests for business data.
  • Track and monitor IT Service consumption to help drive usage reductions across the SI EP business unit.
  • Build relationships with end users and provide a positive working experience with IT teams and IT tools.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:

  • Basic Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of professional experience supporting business IT initiatives
    • Background in manufacturing and/or production-critical environments
    • Experience with leading/driving IT digital transformation and innovation initiatives in a complex operational environment
    • Experience with infrastructure solution design, implementation, and service management
    • Track record of planning and managing large/complex technical projects with superior results
    • Ability to communicate effectively with collaborators at all levels of the organization, including executives.
    • Strong analysis and trouble shooting skills
    • Eagerness to learn and an appetite for problem solving
    • Good interpersonal skills in developing and managing relationships across many teams and organizations
    • Ability to travel between locations
    • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international)
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree preferred
    • Experience with SAP Manufacturing applications (PLM, MES)
    • Datacenter experience in design, implementation, and support
    • Warehouse and logistics
    • Familiarity with building systems / controls & automation
    • Microsoft Azure services and cloud offerings
