Environmental Services (EVS) General Manager

Sodexo is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) General Manager at Jackson Health North, located in Miami, FL. The GM is responsible for leading a large, unionized EVS team to ensure a clean, safe, and compliant hospital environment that meets all JHS and Sodexo standards. This role oversees daily operations, regulatory readiness, quality assurance, and performance metrics such as bed turnaround times and HCAHPS scores. The GM partners closely with hospital leadership to drive patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. Strong leadership, financial acumen, and experience managing in a healthcare setting are essential for success in this role.

Jackson North Medical Center is a 380-bed acute care center located in North Miami Beach that serves the residents of north Miami-Dade and south Broward counties. The GM will lead, develop, and train a team of approximately 75 staff and 2 managers with an emphasis on client satisfaction at all times. Sodexo offers a range of services to healthcare facilities, including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. What You'll Do:

• Have an exceptional client service mentality and executive presence.
• Be responsible for driving client and patient satisfaction scores.
• Provide a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff and work closely with the Infectious Control department.
• Partner with the Environment of Care Committee, Infection Prevention Director, and other key members of hospital leadership.
• Effectively manage the Unit Operating System.
• Support a diverse and inclusive workforce.

What You Bring:

• Are leaders who develop and motivate a team to exceed the expectations of clients and customers in service and the technical execution of a housekeeping system.
• Are an expert in building and maintaining strong customer/client relationships.
• Possess strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance and reach project target dates of completion.
• Have 3-5 years previous custodial or housekeeping director level experience preferably in a hospital environment.
• Can analyze data, present, and effectively communicate to all levels within the organization related to training, leading committees, and change management.
• Have experience effectively managing projects within agreed upon timelines.

• Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum Management Experience: 5 years.
