Responsibilities:
Performs cooking duties
Perform assigned tasks under supervision of lunchroom manager
Maintain standards of safety which include, but are not limited to, caring for and the use of knives, handling chemicals and operating fire extinguisher
Maintain standards of sanitation regarding grooming, clothing, food handling and equipment
Assume leadership in preparation of food within established production system following standardized recipes, preparation and service methods and food handling techniques to insure acceptable standards
Under manager's direction, performs school's menu plan, adjusts for nutritionally equivalent food substitutes, leftovers and plans for emergencies
Receive/record daily money receipts, record daily student/adult participation
Perform duties assigned which may include, but are not limited to, cleaning the kitchen, dining room and receiving platform
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Other duties as assigned by site administrator
