Reporting to the Manager of Financial Systems Support, the Financial Systems Analyst has responsibility for researching, evaluating, implementing, supporting and maintaining IT-developed and off-the-shelf financial systems software products in order to maximize their use by Firm personnel. Participates in the installation, configuration, automation, customization and administration of financial systems applications to ensure the ongoing reliability, integrity, functionality and performance of the financial system. Coordinates and may lead project teams, mentors less experienced staff members and users, and serves as a technical expert to firm and department staff in developing creative solutions to the more complex financial systems applications issues and problems. Provides data and information through custom reports and ad-hoc inquiries. This position will reside in the Philadelphia office and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Key responsibilities include:
Elite 3E Support:
Provides second and third tier user support to the Accounting Department as well as all Firm personnel pertaining to the Firm's financial systems by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting and problem solving. Using technical knowledge, takes a leadership role in financial systems applications and works with the user community to research and evaluate software products to meet the needs of the firm. Works with Support Consultants at Elite to resolve any reported issues. Works with the manager to develop project plans for deployment of new technology; participates in new technology testing, deployment and support. Provides custom data extractions for use by Accounting staff for analysis. Prepares documentation on financial application processes and procedures; maintains documentation to include any updates or changes to process. Creates 3E Notification events based on customer requests. Maintains User Access within 3E and Active Directory for 3E Users in Finance. Maintains the highest level of confidentiality of all financial and systems-related information. Updates L3 Finance Support Tickets in ServiceNow Elite 3E Training Documents any updates for 3E finance users firm-wide and updates QRGs as required. Trains users on the finance applications used in 3E. Elite 3E Template Maintenance:
In consultation with Billing and Accounts Payable resources, maintains check templates, bill templates, and proforma templates with external vendors and internal IT Department. In consultation with Billing and Accounts Payable resources, manages template enhancement requests from initial request to implementation of new templates. Reports Processing & Month End:
Produces regular monthly reports to be distributed throughout the firm. Uses financial applications to create and distribute reports. Learns the steps needed for month-end processing and alternates with others in the group. Elite 3E Systems Upgrade:
Participates in various 3E System upgrades. Assists in the upgrades that may include the following: user testing, supporting and assisting other users with testing, liaising with Elite Support to resolve bugs or other problems, investigating security issues, setting up security in 3E. Support of other financial systems:
Helps administer, provide user support and training, and upgrade support for various 3E-related and other financial systems and applications.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university or equivalent combination of education, training, or experience. Internship or part-time experience in the legal industry or financial systems applications support is helpful but not required. Strong interest in complex financial systems support and a willingness to learn are the most important qualifications. Ability to work well in a team, communicate effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
