Field Service Technician
The Field Service Technician will provide professional services to customers by performing system installations, repairs, and maintenance of the equipment offered. This role requires excellent troubleshooting skills, adaptability to changing work schedules, the ability to work independently, and extensive travel. This is a full-time position servicing customers within the Vidalia, Georgia region.
Responsibilities:
- Perform system installations, repairs, and maintenance on various equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on conveyor systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Adapt to changing work schedules and travel extensively to service customer needs.
- Provide professional customer service and training as needed.
- Service existing accounts by analyzing work orders; plan daily travel schedule; investigate complaints; conduct various testing; resolve new or existing problems.
- Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installations; performing acceptance tests.
- Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommend system improvements.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; administering repairs.
- Install enhancements, test and calibrate machinery to meet customer specifications.
- Provide training to machine operators.
- Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Essential Skills:
- Service and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance and handle breakdowns.
- Proficiency in mechanical systems and equipment installation.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Degree and/or certification in electrical and communication engineering systems.
- Proven work experience as a field service technician.
- Ability to travel up to 30% and adapt to changing schedules.
- Passport or ability to obtain one for international travel.
- Good communication and training skills.
- Multi-lingual skills, with Spanish as a plus.

Pay and Benefits:
- The pay range for this position is $56000.00 - $56000.00/yr.
