Field Service Technician

Seattle, WA | Portland, OR | Los Angeles, CA | Phoenix, AZ (must be local to one of these areas) Direct hire | 100% remote role with travel position Targeted pay rate: $36-41/hr depending upon qualification, with some flexibility for well-qualified candidates

Kelly Engineering seeks a skilled Field Service Technician to join our client's team. In this role, the Service Technician installs, troubleshoots, and repairs the company's CNC Machines at client sites.

Qualifications / Experience

• Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing complex machinery or automated equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Organized and detail-oriented with strong reporting and documentation abilities.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain professional communication with clients.
• Diagnose and repair equipment in collaboration with the internal/external team members.
• Utilize visual inspection, diagnostic software, and electronic tools to troubleshoot issues.
• Read and interpret repair manuals, schematics, and work orders to guide repairs.
• Clean, replace, install, and align machine components to ensure optimal performance.
• Accurately document and report machine conditions, repairs, and service details.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including applications, sales, engineering, and production.
• Provide on-site customer training for machine operation and maintenance.
• Support and assist other Field Service Engineers as needed.
• Participate in ongoing factory training and contribute to improving technical documentation.
• Work independently while adhering to all company and safety standards.
• Travel up to 100% (mostly regional and national when needed).
