Facilities Service Technician

Leidos is looking for a Facilities Service Technician with an active Top Secret clearance. Primary responsibilities include operating, servicing, and repairing a variety of adapted and specialized facility hardware to mitigate environmental risks of chemical, biological, and radiological contamination. Perform routine duties and care for a wide variety of equipment and apparatus including pumps, motors, pneumatic and mechanical systems, digital and analog controls, and monitoring instruments. Provide safe operation of water distribution facilities in an assigned area(s) to support quality water treatment and collection as established by the company and governmental regulatory agencies. Respond to service calls for failed or malfunctioning systems, troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause, and provide corrective action, repair, or replacement of component parts or full systems. Maintain operational records, logs, and service reports for assigned hardware and systems, providing customer reports to accurately communicate status and service requirements. Schedule and coordinate logistical, labor, or subcontractor support required for sustainment and service operations. Perform related field and laboratory tests necessary to monitor and control facilities. Make necessary adjustments to equipment, processes, and chemical feeders as test results may indicate and as instructed by the Facility Operator/Supervisor. Respond to customer service calls and provide remote technical feedback and information as required. Train other employees in the operation and care of facilities including maintenance, repairs, laboratory work, and safety, as required. Responsible for monitoring pH, Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Phosphates, and performing other water testing and analysis. Perform all diagnostics and analysis to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Assist other employees with the delivery and installation of products/equipment. Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment. Communicate positively with customers and maintain positive public relations for the company.

Basic qualifications include a valid driver's license, active Top Secret security clearance, ability to work flexible schedules, ability to lift 50lbs routinely, ability to communicate and interact with technical staff at all levels, ability to work independently and in a team environment, and strong interpersonal skills. Preferred qualifications include certification for the collection of drinking water samples, ABC Certification for Distribution Operators credentials, related associates degree, experience with Microsoft Office, hands-on experience with mechanical, pneumatic, and/or electrical systems service, and facilities service experience.
