Fabricator

The fabricator will perform essential duties in reading and interpreting blueprints and operations sheets to determine necessary operations. This role involves completing various assembly responsibilities, including bending, punching, shearing, drilling, tapping, grinding, burring, and counter burring. The fabricator will fabricate, assemble, fit, and weld components as per blueprints, check material stock and availability, and build prototypes. They will also utilize inspection gauges such as micrometers, verniers, and combination squares to ensure precision. Additionally, the fabricator will report any equipment malfunctions, adhere to company policies and safety procedures, and maintain a clean and safe workspace.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and operations sheets to determine appropriate operations.
• Complete assembly tasks including bending, punching, shearing, drilling, tapping, grinding, burring, and counter burring.
• Fabricate, assemble, fit, and weld according to blueprints.
• Check materials stock and availability for each job.
• Build prototypes.
• Use inspection gauges such as micrometers, verniers, and combination squares.
• Report any malfunctions or equipment problems.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding health and safety.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area at all times.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of MIG welding experience.
• 2 years of steel fabrication experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with fabrication, MIG, fitting, TIG, and working with stainless steel.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
