Customer Service Specialist
Needing to interview and hire someone ASAP! The client is located in Lansing, MI. The client that is hiring is a full-service home medical equipment company. They offer ocean home health products, sleep therapy supplies, bed lifts, seat lift chairs, bath aids, CPAP machines, ventilators, and breast pumps. Mon-Fri 8am-5pm w/ 1 hour lunch. Training: Hands on training with management, should be about a month until they are completely on their own. Will need to learn medical equipment, as well as their computer system.
Job Duties:
- Customer Service Specialists are responsible for learning and understanding the entire front-end process to ensure successful service for our patients.
- Answering inbound calls and making outbound calls, email.
- May be responsible for obtaining, analyze, and verify the accuracy of information received from referrals, create orders, and or schedule the patient to receive equipment as ordered by their doctor.
- Answer all calls and emails in a timely manner, in adherence to their goals.
- Process orders, route calls to the appropriate resources, and follow up on customer calls where necessary.
- Working with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide instruction, service, and troubleshooting techniques for respiratory equipment to patients.

Qualifications MUST HAVE:
- 1-3 years Customer Service/Admin Experience - MUST BE office/medical/insurance industry
- Medical or clinical background - Medical Assistant/CNA/Insurance Verification
- Experience working/consulting one on one with a customer
- Confidence and ability to communicate affectively - must be able to explain medical equipment in detail, how it works, troubleshooting equipment, how insurance works, explaining financial responsibility of patient vs. insurance
- Ability to understand technical equipment/attention to detail
Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
