Client Customer Service Representative

Olsten Staffing is assisting a client seeking a detail-oriented Client Customer Service Representative in Sumter, SC. This critical role ensures accurate and timely order entry, shipment coordination, and overall account management within our internal systems. You will provide daily sales support and play a vital role in meeting month-end closing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer orders to guarantee timely shipments.
  • Confirm order deliveries and communicate status updates to customers.
  • Collaborate with sales, production scheduling, and shipping teams for seamless order management.
  • Accurately enter and maintain customer profiles, orders, shipments, and account information.
  • Prioritize urgent customer needs to ensure on-time product delivery.
  • Escalate critical issues and decision points to the Customer Service Manager with urgency.
  • Review open orders and schedules to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Issue return authorizations, credits, and coordinate closure with shipping and accounting.
  • Arrange and log expedited shipments as approved.
  • Prepare shipping documents and invoices with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Approve daily invoices prior to accounting posting.
  • Notify Procurement of non-stock product orders.
  • Send order confirmations directly to customers and provide detailed product status information.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Education & Experience: High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum of three years' customer service or order-processing experience
    • Core Competencies: Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills, strong sense of urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines, keen attention to detail, with consistent accuracy checks, excellent verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment in escalating issues when necessary, proficient computer and data-entry skills.

    Compensation & Schedule:

    • Hourly Rate: $25
    • Workdays: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
    • Location: Onsite office in Sumter, SC

    Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
