Sales Leadership Development Manager
Responsible for equipping sales leaders (sales managers and managers of managers) with the sales management competencies to drive sales team performance, foster a culture of sales excellence, as well as enabling them to adopt new ways of working, management standards, tools, and mindsets that drive organizational growth.
Responsibilities
Formal Learning
- Facilitate virtual sessions tailored to different leadership levels and assignments.
- Facilitate F2F workshops tailored to different leadership levels and assignments.
- Facilitate 1:1 follow up- and support sessions on- and offline.
- Coach and mentor sales leaders.
- Lead and support organizational transformation initiatives in sales culture and leadership effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant progress.
- Watch and read training material, so it can be used as reference to tools and methods during training sessions.
Social Learning
- Facilitate group follow up- and support sessions on- and offline.
- Facilitate, participate in and guide the buddy group work.
- Facilitate on- and offline meetings with ambassadors and other key stakeholders.
- Analyze team performance and dynamics.
- Drive team performance and effectiveness.
- Evaluate outcome of Buddy group work and give constructive feedback.
On-the-job Learning
- Lead and support organizational transformation initiatives in sales culture and leadership effectiveness.
- Develop client-specific solutions in areas such as Account Management, Forecasting, Business Development strategies and team effectiveness.
- Collaborate with international teams and clients; adapt programs to various cultural and business contexts.
- Report on leadership development outcomes to senior management.
- Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback and progress metrics.
- Participate in and analyse meetings according to the management standards.
- Prepare and perform ride-alongs including constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Sales Leadership or Sales Excellence training.
- Deep understanding of leadership development and adult learning principles.
- Deep understanding of change management and resistance against change.
- Strong background in coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performance sales teams and leaders.
- Deep knowledge of Consultative and Value based selling methodologies.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, communication and active listening skills.
- Able to handle objections and resistance against change.
- Proficiency in virtual training platforms and common business software (MS Teams, Zoom, Outlook and CRM systems).
- Experience with performance management, sales effectiveness, and transformation projects in cross-cultural settings.
- Experience with leading sales teams in B2B markets.
- Ability to engage and motivate leaders at all levels.
- Passion for developing others and fostering a learning culture.
