We are currently seeking a Product Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Zagreb, Croatia!
Senior Electrical Engineer in Product Engineering designs UPS's, batteries, switchboards, panelboards, cable trays, cables, busbars, and other similar electrical equipment. He prepares documentation like single line diagrams, power load calculations, lighting calculations, cable lists, he models electrical equipment in Revit, does the selectivity and coordination studies and other similar calculations. Senior Electrical Engineer needs to have knowledge about relevant International and other standards related to electrical engineering.
Developing electrical design of modular buildings and constructions (medium to high complexity products and concepts) in Revit and AutoCAD and produces product documentation as mentioned in upper paragraph. Senior Electrical Engineer in Product engineering works on single line diagrams in AutoCAD, wiring diagrams in ePlan, models in Revit, works on selectivity and coordination studies in relevant software. Communication with all team members via conference calls, participation on engineering meetings with equipment suppliers, developing new skills and knowledge through internal and external education and sometimes travels on meetings. Integration of new concepts, new technologies and new materials in product design. Senior Electrical Engineer in Product Engineering will be part of team of engineers with knowledge in various disciplines.
What kind of work will you be doing?
- Developing of product conceptual and detailed design
- Based on input data (information, requirements, standards), development of electrical product documentation: power and lighting calculations, selectivity and coordination studies, harmonic study, arc flash study, load flow analysis, lightning protection study, PUE analysis, diagrams, layouts, schedules, cable running lists, detail drawings, descriptions, instructions, material submittals, presentations and marketing materials etc.
- During design follow and take into consideration international, national and company standards and good engineering practices
- Use knowledge and experience to fulfill requirements given for product development tasks
- Participating in and running kick-off meeting, regular product team meetings
- Reporting product status to Lead Engineer and Product Manager
- Proactive cooperation with all team members during product development
- Initiating RFI ("Request for Information ") in cases where additional clarification is needed
- First point of contact and lead designer within a group of engineers responsible of product development
- Development of defined documents according to Document list (DLIST)
- Specifying Bill of Material and services required for product development
- Specification of necessary certificates and delivery dates for materials needed to be ordered
- Supporting suppliers with additional information during bidding phase of sourcing (offer submitting)
- Providing technical approval for received supplier offers
- Providing technical support to subcontractors and installers during production/assembly
- Cooperation with Manufacturing and Site deployment engineering team
- Cooperation with Site Manager during assembly, providing technical solutions to raised issues
- Cooperation with Quality Control during quality control of components/systems and assembly on Site
- Cooperation with Commissioning engineer on testing documentation development
- Participation on internal testing and FAT
- Performing calculations for optimal components/materials selection
- Analyzing application of new components/materials and technologies
What will make you successful?
- Education – electrical engineer
- 5-7 years of experience
- English language – fluent
- Software – Revit, AutoCAD, EPLAN, MS Office, Dialux, ABB e-Design, Schneider Ecodial etc.
- Other skills – independent, attention to details, problem solving, organization, creativity, teamwork
