Manufacturing Engineer

Vertiv is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer in Ironton, OH to play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our production processes, focusing on welding, coil fabrication, pre-fabrication, and other fabrication areas. This role is essential for improving manufacturability, reducing cycle times, and optimizing processes to ensure high-quality output and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time Investment Needed on Each:

Process Improvement: Analyze and refine manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Cycle Time Reduction: Streamline production workflows and introduce automation to minimize cycle times.

Quality Assurance: Ensure all fabrication processes meet quality standards and collaborate with the quality control team to address issues.

Manufacturability Enhancement: Work with design and engineering teams to ensure products are designed for ease of fabrication and assembly.

Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality.

Training and Development: Train production staff on new processes and technologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.

Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

Required experience: 1-3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization.

Active user of: Windows, MS Office incl. Excel (A), Word (A), PowerPoint (A), AutoCAD.

Proficient modeling skills required, preferred: Revit, Inventor.
