Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Representative is expected to develop, manage, and to communicate regularly with the targeted resellers. The Inside Sales Representative serves as the single point of contact for the resellers to discuss projects, promos, new products, technical support requirements, marketing requirements, and other partner concerns. The Inside Sales Representative is also given the responsibility of qualifying leads for his/her market and ensure action is taken. The Inside Sales Representative is given monthly and quarterly sales targets to achieve on various programs and supports the resellers in managing their requirements. The Inside Sales Representative works closely with the immediate supervisor or distribution manager in the market unit in developing the channel long tail business.

Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time Investment Needed on Each:

  1. Vertiv Partner Program
    1. Recruit new resellers and activate dormant resellers by having them register and activate their accounts in the Partner Portal.
    2. Cascades VIP Loyalty program to qualified partners.
    3. Ensure that Channel partners contribute to the sales growth of the market unit.
    4. Ensure New Registered Partners are converted to Active Buying partners.
    5. Ensure that all Existing Partners are registered and have activated their accounts in the partner portal.
  2. Sales Target and Partner Opportunities
    1. Achieve the set sales target by the business through account management, development, and engaging the assigned resellers.
    2. It is the responsibility of the Inside Sales Representative to coordinate and discuss with all stakeholders (e.g., distributor, CTS, LTS, channel manager, and OSR) the opportunity requirements of the resellers and to ensure its closure and/or completion.
  3. Partner Communication & Enablement
    1. The Inside Sales Representative is expected to call and communicate with the partners regularly.
    2. Educate and push current and new products to resellers via emailers and/or trainings.
    3. Ensure that partners are trained and equipped with the latest knowledge to sell Vertiv products and solutions.
    4. Communicate sales and marketing programs to resellers.
  4. Leads Qualification
    1. Manage and qualify Leads assigned and update leads status in Oracle in a timely manner.
    2. Connect quality meetings so that channel managers can close their sales based on proven leads.
  5. Partner Database
    1. Manage and update the central Channel Partner database in Oracle Sales Cloud.
    2. Ensure that contact person for each partner is up to date.
  6. Sales Administration
    1. Assist in Channel business in terms of ensuring opportunities are recorded and updated Oracle Sales Cloud
    2. Assist in proposal creation and coordination with the distributors
    3. Engagement with distributors on programs and coordination with the regional team
  7. Reports
    1. Ensure that ISR partners are tagged properly in the Sales Out Report every month.
    2. Joins weekly review and Updates Reseller progress and opportunities in sales system.

Other Tasks

  1. Regularly joins business review, communication meetings and update with the Channel team.
    1. Familiarize oneself and abide by the team's policies and procedures.
    2. Other assigned tasks and activities by the immediate superior.

Reporting Relationships: Titles of associates this position will directly report to:

Functional reports to Regional ISR Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager

Locally reports to Distribution Manager

Interactions: The Inside Sales Representative regularly interacts with channel partners, distributors, customers, various stakeholders, and sales and marketing team of Vertiv.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Korean speaker (conversation, reading and writing)
  • Telesales (outbound calls)
  • Channel Partner Management
  • Engaging phone manner and good listening skills
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Basic Reports Preparation and Data Analysis

Education and Experience: (Education, special training and years of experience required)

  • Graduate of any 4 year course and with at least 2-3 years work experience as telesales and preferably knows the IT channel business.
  • Outbound Calling experience is required. Excellent Communication skills, engaging phone manner and good listening skills is a must.
  • Basic reports preparation and data analysis.
