Application Specialist

Join us as an Application Specialist in the Procurement and Supply Chain domains, and you will serve as a liaison between business users and IT. This is a customer-facing role that builds and cultivates relationships with all levels of the business, serving as a trusted IT advisor. Documenting requirements for projects and small enhancements, deriving insights from data for data-driven decision making, and effectively communicating with stakeholders, suggesting solutions for streamlining the supply chain management (SCM) process. Additionally, the role involves providing exceptional technical support to internal business users and external vendor users globally, including user provisioning and troubleshooting technical cross functional issues.

Responsibilities

• Document business requirements for small enhancements or projects to ensure clear communication, stakeholder alignment on a global level, change management, traceability, and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Create and execute test cases for fixes, enhancements and projects to ensure UAT readiness and zero defects
• Create visually appealing charts and data files to support monthly operational and adoption reporting, presenting complex data in an accessible manner.
• Create comprehensive visual representations to document end-to-end business processes, illustrating the steps, activities, and interactions from initiation to completion, to facilitate understanding, analysis, and optimization, and ensure alignment of regional processes with global processes.
• Manage and execute Level 1 and Level 2 support tickets, including disposition of Level 2 tickets to 3rd party software companies, and drive their closure with both 3rd party vendors and internal Vertiv IT teams for cross functional issues in the B2B flow.
• Support monthly functional testing to support releases as well as software upgrades to ensure that the deployed solution meets the expectations captured in the requirements
• Support and drive the execution of SOX controls related to user controls and change controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting, and implementing necessary controls, and coordinating with relevant stakeholders where applicable.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience supporting Supply Chain Management applications
• Experience with data querying (SQL), analysis, analytics and visualization
• Demonstrated ability to lead and negotiate business solutions that effectively balance technical capability, cost, and time considerations with business needs.
• Must be detailed-oriented and demonstrate customer centric culture
• Experience working in global corporation or international business environment is preferred
• Be able to support limited business travels

Optional requirement:

• Experience working with E2Open Supply Management or other tools for PO Collaboration, ASN and Forecast collaboration with suppliers is a plus

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must be fluent in English and effectively communicate with global customers and differing cultures is required
• Ability to write and interpret reports, business correspondence, and/or procedure manuals

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems, involving many variables, in different situations
