Assistant To The Plant Director

The Assistant to the Plant Director plays a vital role in supporting the Director in the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing facility. This individual ensures seamless administrative support, helps coordinate plant activities, assists with reporting and data analysis, and contributes to maintaining operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level administrative support to the Plant Director.
• Assist in coordinating and tracking key manufacturing projects and initiatives.
• Schedule and manage meetings, prepare agendas, and record minutes.
• Support data collection, reporting, and analysis of production metrics and KPIs.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between departments and ensure timely follow-up on action items.
• Help manage calendars, travel arrangements, and expense reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Assist in organizing audits, inspections, and compliance-related activities.
• Support lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and safety initiatives as directed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
• 2–4 years of administrative or operational experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with manufacturing operations, safety standards, and production processes is a plus.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
• Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.
• The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.
• Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
• Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
