We work with police departments and municipalities across North America, the Asia Pacific and Europe to install safety cameras, including red-light, speed, and school bus stop arm cameras. We manage tolling transactions and violations for the world's largest commercial fleets and rental car companies, serving over 8.5 million vehicles whilst, via our proprietary connected systems, processing nearly 165 million transactions each year for more than 50 tolling authorities.

Verra Mobility is a vibrant and rapidly expanding company that places people at the heart of everything we do. We wholeheartedly embrace our core values: Do What's Right, Lead with Grace, Win Together, and Own It in our every interaction with our customers and dedicated team members.

Due to significant growth, and the need to service our valued clients across the region, we are looking for an experienced, Full-time Field Services Technician, to be based out of our Minto office and servicing the greater NSW region.

The Role

You will play a pivotal role in installing, maintaining, and monitoring Verra Mobility's advanced road safety systems, including fixed and mobile speed cameras across both metro and regional NSW. This is a highly mobile, hands-on position that combines mechanical precision with technical problem-solving in software and networking, often working at heights and outdoors across diverse environments. As part of our NSW Maintenance Program, you'll be on the frontline ensuring our life-saving technology operates at peak performance, directly contributing to safer communities across the state.

This full-time, permanent role is based out of our Minto office and requires working to an established roster across weekdays and weekends, including public holidays and occasional out-of-hours field work. Alongside vehicle-based maintenance, you'll also support compliance and reporting requirements from our office.

What You'll Do

  • Install, commission, and perform preventative and remedial maintenance on road safety technology across metro and regional NSW.
  • Support a wide range of technical IT solutions, with the ability to resolve complex issues in the field and remotely.
  • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware componentry and supporting software platforms.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports to meet compliance standards.
  • Contribute to weekly team initiatives, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Apply the highest standards of safety in every aspect of your work.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting complex hardware and software systems in the field.
  • Strong understanding of network configuration (LAN/WAN), cabling, and equipment installs.
  • Experience with bespoke or in-house technology systems (advantageous).
  • Accreditation in Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform (preferred).
  • Construction Safety Card (preferred)
  • A full, unrestricted, valid Australian Driver's Licence.

Who You Are

You're a curious, technically (Hardware & Software) adept problem-solver who thrives in the field and enjoys hands-on work. Independent, resourceful, and committed to quality, you bring a professional approach to both your work and your customer interactions. This dynamic role involves regular travel across NSW, often to remote locations, giving you the variety and challenge you enjoy.

What We Offer

In return, you'll receive a competitive salary with overtime and allowances, a fully maintained company vehicle (for both work and commuting), and ongoing training to support your professional development. At Verra Mobility, we are committed to your growth, offering continuous upskilling opportunities and career pathways in a business recognised as a leader in road safety technology.

We value the unique backgrounds, experiences, and contributions that each person brings to our community and encourage and celebrate diversity. First Nations people, those identifying as LGBTQIA+, females, people of all ages, with disabilities and culturally and linguistically diverse people are encouraged to apply. Our aim is to create a workforce that reflects the community in which we live.

With your explicit consent which you provided as part of the application process, we will retain candidate personal data solely for the business purpose for which it was collected. In no event will we retain such data more than two (2) years following the closure of the recruitment process relating to the role for which you applied or in the event other related job opportunities arise within the company.
