Lead Salesforce Developer
The Lead Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, building, and guiding the delivery of scalable, maintainable solutions within the Salesforce platform. This role is ideal for a seasoned Salesforce professional with strong development expertise, a deep understanding of platform architecture, and experience leading teams to deliver enterprise-level implementations.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead a team of Salesforce developers in the design, development, and delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as a technical lead on projects, providing architectural guidance and ensuring alignment with overall business and technical goals.
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants, Project Managers, and cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Solution Design & Development
- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure Salesforce solutions following best practices and design patterns.
- Translate complex business requirements into well-architected technical solutions.
- Evaluate project requirements and provide accurate estimates for development efforts.
- Ensure solutions adhere to architectural guidelines and maintain platform integrity.
Salesforce Platform Expertise
- Utilize core Salesforce technologies including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and other platform capabilities.
- Lead technical design discussions and guide teams in leveraging Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other products such as CPQ, Commerce, or MuleSoft (preferred).
- Optimize the use of out-of-the-box features to minimize custom development and improve maintainability.
Technical Execution
- Oversee code reviews to ensure adherence to development standards, performance optimization, and code quality.
- Provide hands-on development support when needed for critical or complex solutions.
- Ensure the team follows DevOps and CI/CD practices for efficient deployment and version control.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during development and implementation.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Promote and enforce best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation.
- Stay up-to-date with Salesforce releases, new features, and emerging technologies, recommending improvements and upgrades.
- Contribute to refining internal development processes, standards, and reusable frameworks.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and implementation experience.
- Proven track record in technical leadership roles or leading project teams.
- Strong expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative tools.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, API integrations, and security model.
- Experience with CPQ, B2B Commerce, or MuleSoft is highly desirable.
- Experience leading end-to-end Salesforce project implementations.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional delivery teams.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required; Platform Developer II, Application Architect, or System Architect certifications preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation & Benefits
$90,000 - $120,000 CAD
In accordance with applicable law, the above salary range provided is Verndale's reasonable estimate of the salary for this role. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
