Youth Care Worker - $22 - $23/hr

Youth Care Worker

The Youth Care Worker is responsible for the oversight and safety of children or adolescents in a variety of secure setting care settings. The Youth Care Worker will interact with the youth in a positive manner while assisting them with daily activities and implementing treatment plans. The Youth Care Worker will display a professional and caring attitude and will encourage positive behaviors through effective communication, decision-making, and problem-solving. The Youth Care Worker will respond to emergencies and assist in the redirection of youth when needed.

Pay: $22-$23/hr

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate's Degree in social sciences, counseling, behavioral sciences, human services, criminal justice, education, or child development preferred
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in the care, custody, or personal guidance of youth
• Bilingual or multilingual may be preferred in some settings
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
